Painting A Quiet Afternoon

The collection started as loose watercolour-and-ink studies — a cat on a ladder, on a scooter, in a window. Quiet domestic moments, painted on cream paper.

To make seventeen separate paintings feel like one line, we fixed everything we could: one garment, one ecru ground, one signature, the same title set in the same italic, in the same place, every time.

What changes is the scene. Each piece keeps its own character through composition and light, so the line reads like plates in a book — connected, but never repetitive.
